Starting on June 15, at 8 am (GMT), check out the fifth worldwide 24-hour robotic surgery event. The live event, hosted by the Worldwide Robotic Surgery Education (WRSE), incorporates 15 surgeries from leading robotic centers on four different continents. The roving studio features presentations, masterclasses, and expert-led discussions.
Dr. Peter Wiklund is a member of the society of robotic surgery and chairman of the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgical Sciences, Karolinski University Hospital in Stockholm believes the event provides a major advantage to participants who are encouraged to follow along with real surgical practice in their own environment and learn the guidelines for robotic surgery.
Walter Artibani, former Adjunct Secretary General for Science for the European Association of Urology and chair of urology at Padova University in Italy said, “This is a novel experience that sets the standard for the future of training.”
For surgical robotics designers and developers, this could be an opportunity to observe the best robotic surgeons in the world. Registration is free but open to medical professionals only.
