D3Labs is a dental and orthodontic appliance lab in rural Minnesota. Its Dean Retainer is printed out of chromium-cobalt alloy (14 times stronger and 10 times thinner than acrylic) and is hypoallergenic.
Using this metal makes the retainer is more comfortable to wear and causes fewer negative effects on speech patterns, according to the company. The enhanced comfort encourages better patient compliance.
