Funding goal: $54,650
Total pledged: $17,000+
Deadline: June 2
The degree° is a wearable made for children that continuously takes their temperature created by Johannes Kreuzer, founder of wearables technology company cosinuss°.
The data taken from the sensors on the thermometer get sent to the caregiver’s smartphone through an accompanying app. If a child’s body temperature is too high or too low, the app will alert the caregiver on their smartphone. The app can also track temperature changes so the user can see if the treatment is effective.
degree° is field-tested to fit children’s anatomy and skin. It has more than 5 days of battery life on one charge and features a high-end skin contact thermosensor inside the ear canal.

We would like to learn about raising money for a new electric dental drill we have developed.

Thanks, Alex. We’re not experts on fundraising. (We just write stories about people who are. 🙂 ) You might reach out to some of the people doing these crowdfunding campaigns, ask how things are going for them and whether they have lessons learned. If you have a medical device industry association in your area, they might be able to offer you some tips, too, or forward you to someone who can offer advice. Good luck with your endeavor!
