The medtech industry is increasingly gaining women leaders. Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic have a handful of women in positions of power, which is a step forward for women considering that only 4% of healthcare CEOs are women.

Keeping with the theme of March’s Women’s History Month, here are 13 more women leaders in medtech that we thought were worth mentioning. Some of the women featured in this slideshow have also been featured in DeviceTalks and on MassDevice.

      These picks were the result of internal discussions among editors at MDO and MassDevice. Danielle polled some of us on which women medical device executives we’ve been most impressed with over the years, as well as executives who have had an impact at our DeviceTalks conferences. It was definitely our first crack at something like this. Think it would help if we put something more formal together in coming years? (i.e. a nomination process, etc.).
