12. Hildrus Poindexter
Hildrus Poindexter was a bacteriologist and was most known for his work studying the epidemiology of tropical diseases like malaria, according to Poindexter’s Wikipedia page.He graduated from Lincoln University in 1924 and went on to graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1929. He received an AM in microbiology in 1930 from Columbia University and his PhD in microbiology and immunology in 1932. Poindexter also received an MPH in public health and tropical medicine from Harvard in 1932.
