The HeartLogic heart failure diagnostic from Boston Scientific is a technology that the company has packaged into implantable CRT-Ds and ICDs. It can predict potential heart failure weeks in advance and detect early signs of worsening heart failure.

HeartLogic heart failure diagnostic features multiple sensors to track physiological trends. Heart sounds sensors reveal signs of elevated filling pressure and weakened ventricular contraction. Thoracic impedance sensors measure fluid accumulation and pulmonary edema. Respiration sensors monitor rapid shallow breathing patterns associated with shortness of breath. Heart rate sensors show cardiac status and arrhythmia.

The multi-sensor technology has 70% sensitivity in detecting heart failure events, according to Boston Scientific.
