Owens & Minor set out to reshape its business last year, inking the $380 million buyout of direct-to-consumer medical supplies distributor Byram Healthcare, and continued the transformation in May when it closed the $710 million sale of its infections business to Halyard Health. The deal added $1 billion in revenues and $80 million in earning before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization to Owen & Minor’s books.
