CoreMap: High-resolution cardiac electrophysiology mapping system
Colchester, Vt.
CoreMap is seeking to develop and commercialize a high-resolution cardiac electrophysiology mapping system to map atrial fibrillation, providing the data needed for patient-specific curative ablation therapy. The company’s technology involves a diagnostic catheter and EP mapping software, according to a University of Vermont news release about the company securing a SPARK-VT research grant last year.
Dr. Peter Spector, a University of Vermont professor of medicine and cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology, founded the company. Sarah O’Connell Kalil, a veteran of Hologic and a host of other medical device outfits, joined as CEO in 2017.
The company raised $500,000 earlier this year, according to an SEC Form D.
