PolyVascular develops polymeric transcatheter valves to combat congenital heart disease, a birth defect that is a common cause of infant mortality.

The company says on its website that its PTVs are easy to manufacture in pediatric and adult sizes, with the capability to expand and accommodate growth of children, reducing the need for repeat open-heart surgeries. –SW
