Getinge’s ventilators and extracorporeal life support technologies were in high demand due to COVID-19 in recent years, but the Swedish medtech company has continued to innovate.

Getinge launched a new mechanical ventilator system in January, then picked up FDA clearance for a noninvasive mechanical ventilator in July.

However, the company has faced regulatory issues, with two recalls within a month for its Datascope subsidiary earlier this year. –SW
