Owens & Minor in July announced it would spend $1.4 billion to acquire Rotech Healthcare Holdings, a privately held home-based care business that provides home medical equipment in the U.S. “Rotech squarely fits into our existing Patient Direct segment and directly aligns with the strategy we outlined last December during our Investor Day, supporting our expansion in the very large and fast-growing home-based care space,” Owens & Minor CEO Edward Pesicka said in a news release. As of mid-August, Owens & Minor expected full-year revenue in the $10.5–10.9 billion range.
