Albright Technologies, Inc., the world’s leader in silicone prototyping and production molding, is pleased to introduce its design for manufacturability service to ensure that its customers’ part designs will be manufacturable throughout the product lifecycle. “Our latest service helps us provide better early stage feedback to companies trying to build successful devices quickly and efficiently while addressing many of the complications often encountered at scale up,” said Matt Bont, Director of Operations at Albright Technologies.
Albright has developed a framework to ensure silicone part designs brought to the firm are reviewed for manufacturability before they are quoted. This ensures that any design changes needed to make the part manufacturing-friendly are suggested to the customer before beginning the prototyping phase. Albright’s team of engineers will review new silicone part designs for material type, undercuts, gate locations, parting line locations, tolerances and other geometric features among others. Once the manufacturability review is complete, design changes will be communicated to the customer for additional implementation.
“The addition of our design for manufacturability service enhances our silicone molding offerings, from both a prototype and production molding perspective,” said Ryan Taylor, Director of Sales & Marketing at Albright Technologies. “We anticipate that many of our customers will benefit from our new service, by having a final design that can be manufactured with ease from prototype to production to the end of the product life cycle,” he added.
