The 2View Specimen Mammography Container is designed to reduce the incidence of re-excision in partial mastectomy surgery cases by providing 90-degree orthogonal views without the risk of damage from manipulation. Furthermore, it recently received patent number 8162140B2 in 2012. The specimen travels from the OR, through Radiology, to Pathology, and untouched by human hands. The 2View is meant to be a major improvement over existing containers that typically compress and damage the specimen and don’t allow for orthogonal views.
