Syqe boasts that it has created the world’s first selective-dose, pharmaceutical grade medical cannabis inhaler. The pocket-sized Syqe inhaler includes selective 100 mg dosing precision. It also has realtime thermal and flow controllers, lung interfacing and wireless connectivity.
The precision of the Syqe inhalers is meant to provide optimal relief of pain, nausea, headaches and other symptoms while avoiding the psychoactive properties of marijuana that cause it to still be illegal in much in much of the world.
The Syqe inhalers have been used in Israel’s Rambam Hospital for more than a year. Teva Pharmaceuticals last year said it would market the inhalers in Israel, according to reports on Bloomberg and other media outlets.
3D printing has played an important role in the prototyping ad production of the inhalers, according to Nano Dimension.
Syqe received the DragonFly 2020 3D printer as part of Nano Dimension’s beta program, in which companies around the world have received the printer through a leasing model.
