112Motion is using wearables to make “smarter healthcare” and aid the elderly without the use of a smartphone.
In combination with other third party devices, 112Motion’s wearables help keep an eye on elderly people who are fall risks. The FallAlert wearable uses Cloud eCare to deliver decisions and reduce the amount of “false callouts” and provide personal care. 112Motion also offers a “monitor me” button on its wearables that will connect to the Health Decision Support Platform when pressed. It relays heart-related data to the platform, whcih has powerful algorithms that can provide insights about a user’s wellbeing. If there is something wrong, it will alert caretakers and family members with advice to alleviate the problem. It can also detect problems with overall wellbeing, stamina, emotional state, heart age, stress levels, heart rate disturbances, sleepiness and fatigue, according to 112Motion.
