Sleep machine
Invented in the former Soviet Union, this sleep machine transmitted electrical pulses through electrode-equipped goggles designed to transmit waves to the brain. These “put you in a very relaxed state and finally to sleep,” said Bakken Museum curator Adrian Fischer. The museum also has the first U.S.-made sleep machine in its collection.
