MicroCare Medical (New Britain, Conn.) plans to show off products to improve the medtech manufacturing process, including:
- The new Opteon SF80 specialty fluid for use in vapor degreasers. It is a high-solvency, nonflammable and environmentally sustainable cleaning fluid with a low global warming potential.
- Carrier fluids used for the safe and effective deposition of silicone, PTFE lubricant and other pharmaceutical coatings onto medical devices. These non-flammable, fast-drying fluids are designed as replacements for nPB and TCE, which are being phased out for environmental, health or safety reasons.
- Duraglide dry lubricant, designed to lubricate assemblies that slide, pivot or twist, eliminating “stiction” and improving actuation. Applications include catheters, cutting tools, staplers and hypo tubes. —NC
