AccuVein Inc. a developer of vein visualization technology, will be displaying their AV400 device at The Aesthetic Meeting from April 29-May 1 in San Diego, CA and the Symposium for Cosmetic Advances and Laser Education (SCALE) from May 4-7 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The AV400, helps healthcare professionals locate veins by displaying a map of the patient’s vasculature directly on the surface of the skin. Locating peripheral vasculature allows aesthetic clinicians to avoid veins which can help minimize bruising that may result from injectable procedures. The device also helps with identifying and accessing veins for sclerotherapy procedures.
“A growing number of aesthetic physicians, including many top doctors, have embraced AccuVein vein visualization for their procedures,” says Monica Jugovic, AccuVein Senior Marketing Manager, “These clinicians recognize the enormous benefit of sparing patients the tell-tale signs of having had an injectable procedure. When social downtime is reduced, everyone is happy!”
Vein location also addresses the FDA’s safety alert warning that “serious injuries may occur due to unintentional injection of soft tissue filler into blood vessels in the face”, by identifying the facial veins, thereby allowing them to be avoided. There are approximately two million soft filler procedures performed annually in the U.S.
