Stryker Cactus Smart Sink and Pharma Lock OR Systems

Stryker’s Cactus Smart Sink and Pharma Lock OR Systems securely capture unused pharmaceutical waste and renders it unusable and non-retrievable — ensuring discarded medications do not end up in the wrong hands or negatively impact the environment.

The Cactus Smart Sink System is designed to accept raw liquid pharmaceuticals directly from syringes, vials, or IV bags, and features a one-way funnel that accepts tablets, capsules, and patches.

The Pharma Lock OR System, designed for liquid waste, provides the same function but with a more compact housing conveniently sized to fit on anesthesia carts, walls, or countertops.

The semi-transparent GAMMEX PI Hybrid serves as the outer glove, delivering both the comfort of polyisoprene and the strength of neoprene. Combined with the green-colored GAMMEX Non-Latex PI Underglove as the inner glove, this system allows for quick and easy glove breach detection.

The Ready.Set.Care. kit is among a number of products and solutions Medline will showcase that empower clinicians to better protect patients against surgical site infections (SSIs) from pre-op to post-op. The Ready.Set.Care. kit, part of the perioperative ERASE SSI solution from Medline, helps wipe out pre-op bacteria. Nasal swabs are pre-saturated with povidone iodine. With oral bacteria replicating five times every 24 hours, the set also includes a Chlorhexidine gluconate oral rinse. Furthermore, Medline designed clinician feedback into the kit to help boost compliance through simple, clear language and visuals for added understanding.
