Applied Plastics’ online store to ship globally

July 21, 2020 By Nancy Crotti

Applied Plastics, which manufactures PTFE-coated mandrels and fine wire for the advanced catheter market, announced today that it is adding international shipping capability to its online store.

The online store offers in-stock, PTFE Natural coated stainless steel mandrels and wires with diameters ranging from 0.00 in. to 0.070 in. Product ships within 24 hours of order and includes a certificate of compliance. In addition to the online store, Applied Plastics also carries an
inventory of various-diameter PTFE-coated wire which can be cut to discrete lengths.

Norwood, Mass.-based Applied Plastics launched its PTFE-coated mandrel and wire online store in the U.S. along with a new website earlier this year. After receiving several requests from customers globally, company officials decided to offer international shipping from the online store to support R&D.

“We are excited to enhance the capability of our online store with the addition of international
shipping,” said CEO Thomas Barrett in a news release. “The Applied Plastics team understands the importance of shorter lead times for our customers. Being able to ship product within 24 hours to both domestic and international customers will help support reduced development lead times.”

The company, whose coated products are used in cardiovascular, electrophysiology, neurovascular, peripheral vascular and structural heart microcatheters, plans to expand its online product offerings in the near future, Barrett said.
