7. DispatchHealth: $330 million (HealthTech)

DispatchHealth is developing a system for in-home acute medical care. Patients call and describe their symptoms to request an in-person house call from a medical team instead of visiting the emergency room.

The Denver-based company now operates in 44 states, offering a range of services from same-day, high-acuity care to a 30-day alternative to a hospital stay.

DispatchHealth was founded in 2013 by CEO Dr. Mark Prather and Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Riddleberger.

“For the past seven years, we have been building a comprehensive ecosystem of high acuity care in the home,” Prather said when announcing the equity and debt financing round. “Our proven approach to delivering healthcare to complex patients in their homes will continue to transform healthcare.
