INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — BioStorage
Technologies, a global leader in sample management, cold chain
logistics and biomaterial storage for the pharmaceutical and
biotechnology industries, today announced that the company has
appointed Gregory Swanberg to serve as chief executive officer,
effective immediately. Dr. F. John Mills, MD, PhD., will transition
from his current role as chief executive officer, but will continue
his service as chairman of the board.
Mr. Gregory Swanberg joins BioStorage Technologies with more
than 25 years of senior management and executive experience leading
operational, sales and corporate support teams. His management
experience includes directly overseeing the technical delivery of
global outsourced services for critical functions in pharmaceutical
manufacturing facilities, public and private research centers,
hospitals and clinics and data centers. He has provided management
and consulting support domestically and globally for companies like
Pfizer, Merck, Genentech, Novartis, Eli Lilly, Morgan Stanley,
AT&T, Whirlpool and Lexmark. Swanberg most recently served as
the managing director of UMS Advisory, a firm focused on
outsourcing and operational excellence primarily in the life
science sector. Mr. Swanberg holds a bachelor’s degree from the
University of Kentucky and master’s degrees from Georgia Southern
University and Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of
Management.
