The highly successful Vivo 50 and Vivo 60 homecare ventilators from Breas Medical are now further enhanced with a complete package, called the “Pearl” version.
“We listen to patients and customers and continuously develop our products,” said Damian deGoa, CEO for Breas Medical. “We now introduce a completely new version of our highly successful Vivo 50 and Vivo 60 ventilators to meet demands of customers and to further enhance treatment options and patient comfort. We call it the ‘Pearl’ version.”
The main feature of the “Pearl” version is the new mouthpiece ventilation (MPV) mode. Developed by the Breas R&D team, this MPV mode offers some unique advantages such as no flow between breaths, a settable apnea alarm, an adapted low-pressure alarm and clear information messages on the display.
“Our algorithm solves some of the drawbacks with MPV treatment that clinicians informed us about,” said Roger Nyström, Product Manager at Breas. “The performance upgrade consists of a settable breath rate of 0bpm in MPV mode and the display of Vte and MVe when using a leak circuit. Altogether, the ‘Pearl’ version widens the usage of the Vivo 50 and Vivo 60 ventilators and meets the growing demand for MPV treatment.”
The ‘Pearl’ version is available in the U.S., Europe and globally in countries where registration is available. Vivo 50 and Vivo 60 ventilators in the field can be upgraded to the “Pearl” version to make all benefits available to current patients and caregivers.
