Bruker Corp., a Billerica medical and research equipment maker, has
won a $7.5 million order for its newest spectrometers from the
University of Minnesota.
Destined for its new nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facility, the
University of Minnesota has ordered both the Avance III 900 and 850
NMR spectrometers from Bruker (Nasdaq: BRKR), according to a
release. The university plans to make the instruments the heart of
the systems in the NMR Facility for a variety of research fields,
including structure determination of proteins and nucleic acids
related to cancer, heart failure, infectious disease, muscular
dystrophy and aging.
