3. LuftQI: Portable air purifier
LuftQI is touting its portable air purifier Luft Duo at CES this year.
Luft Duo is portable and uses UVA LED and photocatalytic technology to eliminate dust, pollen, mold and pathogens molecules. The company touts that the device creates zero unnecessary waste with a replaceable and washable filter. Users only have to remove the filter and gently clean — no need to stock up on disposable filters.
The photocatalytic technology allows the device to decompose pollutants that are too small for HEPA filters, like formaldehyde, which measure 0.00001 mm in size, as well as molds, VOCs and pathogens. It purifies air in a 240 sq. ft space and works simply by plugging in to a wall and turning on with a single button.
LuftQI said that through research conducted by third-party research labs, the company found that the coronavirus vaccine cannot survive in the air for more than one hour when near the Luft Duo device. The virus usually lasts for 21 hours when airborne.
