CHAMPS Group Purchasing announced a new three-year custom agreement with Medline that offers members in scientific markets, such as research, blood and transplant, negotiated pricing on a robust portfolio of products to help drive standardization and enhance cost savings.
“CHAMPS is happy to announce an agreement that will extend Medline’s services to CHAMPS’ members in alternate markets,” said Jan Elder, director of contracting services at CHAMPS Group Purchasing. “As the CHAMPS membership continues to grow outside of traditional healthcare markets, we welcome this chance to allow these members to maximize their savings opportunities through a group purchasing organization contract participation.”
In addition to this recent agreement, Medline provides cost savings on custom procedure trays and sterile packs to CHAMPS’ more than 7,000 member locations nationwide. Furthermore, the group purchasing organization is an owner of Premier, who Medline has nearly 30 contracts with and has been providing supplies to for more than 20 years.
“As our relationship with CHAMPS continues to grow, it creates exciting opportunities for Medline to offer cost savings to members as they try and navigate through the ever-changing healthcare landscape and increasing supply-chain requirements. We are dedicated to providing products that improve operational efficiencies and protect their revenue,” said William Torrance, senior VP of national accounts for Medline’s scientific products division.
The contract is effective through Feb. 29, 2019.
