International, Inc. (Nasdaq:
CHDX), a leading independent American provider of Western
healthcare products and services in the People’s Republic of China,
today announced financial results for the second quarter and first
half of fiscal year 2011, which ended September 30, 2010.
Revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2011 increased 18.6% to
$45.2 million from $38.1 million in the second quarter of fiscal
2010;Net income in the second quarter of fiscal 2011 was
$3.2 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, compared to net income of
$538,000, or $0.03 per diluted share, in the second quarter of
fiscal 2010. Revenue in the first half of fiscal 2011
increased 3.8% to $86.7 million from $83.5 million in the first
half of fiscal 2010;Net income in the first half of fiscal
2011 increased to $4.1 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, from
$3.8 million, or $0.24 per diluted share, in the year over year
period.
Second Quarter 2011 Financial ResultsRevenue in
the second quarter of fiscal 2011 reflected continued growth in the
Healthcare Services division and Medical Products division. Revenue
from the Healthcare Services division increased 11.4% to $23.4
million from $21.0 million in the prior year period, and reflects
growing inpatient and outpatient volume across the United Family
Healthcare network. Revenue from the Medical Products division
increased 27.5% to $21.8 million from $17.1 million in the prior
year period, and mainly reflects stronger second quarter demand for
imaging products. Total revenue increased 18.6% to $45.2 million
from $38.1 million in the second quarter of fiscal year
2010.
Income from operations in the second quarter of fiscal 2011
was $4.8 million, compared to income from operations of $1.4
million in the same quarte
