Concord Medical Services Holdings Limited, a leading specialty hospital management solution provider, operator of the largest network of radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging centers in China and the parent of Chang’an Hospital, today reported that it has launched DoctorInPocket or Zhang Shang Hao Yi, in Chinese, a mobile health application. The application is in Android version now and the IOS version has been submitted to the Apple Store for approval.
DoctorInPocket is a doctor-patient communication and diagnosis application. Through an easy-to-complete registration process, patients can establish individual relationships with selected doctors. Doctors can be searched for and contacted by name or sorted by departments. After completing the registration, patients can submit health-related questions to their doctors by text, images and voice messages. Also, the app enables patients to communicate with their doctors by phone at selected time slots during business hours.
The services through the application are fee-based. Patients can pay through a widely used third-party payment platform or by using their debit or credit cards.
More functionality will be added, especially for doctors, based on test results and feedback from doctors. The mobile application is self-developed by Beijing Yundu Internet Technology Co. Limited (“Yundu”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. Yundu is established by the Company to develop internet and mobile healthcare solutions in order to address the wide-spread information asymmetry between doctors and patients in China.
