Crescent Industries celebrates 70 years of offering plastic injection molding solutions by reflecting on its beginnings in manufacturing.
Crescent started as “Summit Machine Works” in a garage in a small town in New Freedom, PA during World War II. Founded by Frank and Mary Paules in 1946. Summit Machine Works was part of the defense effort and manufactured machine gun turrent casings for PT Boats.
Today, Crescent is an integrated single source solution for custom plastic injection molded components and devices. It offers new injection molds, injection molding services and contact assembly & packaging for the medical, pharmaceutical, dental, defense, electronics/electrical, safety and aerospace industries.
In 1970, Crescent manufactured its first medical product, a diagnostic tray. Now medical, pharmaceutical and dental make up 70% of its current business.
Crescent’s experience encompasses medical device housings, pediatric devices, in vitro diagnostics, medical imaging, obesity treatment devices, surgical instruments, implants, emergency room products, fluid delivery devices, fluid delivery containers, cardiac products, science and research devices and dental products. These products can be manufactured in its general molding or clean room molding facilities.
