STURTEVANT, Wis., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Daniels
Sharpsmart Inc., the world’s largest provider of reusable systems
for sharps disposal and the second largest company in the medical
waste disposal industry in the United States, will be celebrating
the launch of their new facility at 1340 Grandview Parkway in
Sturtevant, Wis. with a grand opening ceremony on Wednesday, August
17 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony with
Dan Daniels, founder of Daniels Sharpsmart, and Markus Koch, CEO of
Daniels Sharpsmart, making the trip from the company’s
headquarters in Australia. Senator Van Wanggard, Racine
County Exective James A. Ladwig, members of the Racine Area
Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) and local officials will also be
present for the grand opening.
“By having a facility in Sturtevant, Wis., we’ll be able to
better serve our clients in the Midwest region and to continue our
growth to meet regional market demands,” said David Skinner, Vice

In addition to making healthcare safer and greener in the
Midwest region, the facility is expected to have a positive impact
on the local economy of Sturtevant, Wis. The 22,089
square-foot facility will initially employ up to 25 employees
ranging from plant manager, assistant plant manager and
administrative support roles to production, plant workers and truck
drivers. At full capacity the facility is expected to expand
to employing more than 50 employees.
