Diversified Plastics, a custom plastic-injection molder and digital thermoplastic components manufacturer, said today that it has appointed Robert Kieval to its board of directors.

Kieval has more than 25 years of experience at all levels of the medtech industry. The CEO of IMMR, Inc., Kieval previously served as chief scientific and clinical officer at women’s health medtech manufacturer FemPulse. He was also the founder, president, CEO and chief development / technology officer, at CVRx in Minneapolis, a company that provides implantable, Class III medical devices to treat heart failure and hypertension. Kieval has also held positions, including divisional medical director, at Medtronic.

“We welcome Robert to the board and look forward to his contributions as we grow the company,” said Diversified Plastics board chairman James Dow in a news release. “His impressive background in the medical technology and life science segments makes him ideally suited to help guide the company for future success.”

Kieval holds a doctoral degree in veterinary science from the University of Pennsylvania.
