The manuscript titled, “Transcutaneous temperature controlled radiofrequency for orgasmic dysfunction” was published in LSM, the official journal of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).
As many as 35% of women may experience orgasmic dysfunction, a symptom of vulvovaginal laxity. Unfortunately, results from typical treatments and therapies have been relatively modest. Transcutaneous temperature-controlled radiofrequency (TTCRF) treatment of vaginal wall tissue has shown to be an effective non-hormonal, non-surgical option with no associated downtime.
“This is the first paper to address the treatment of orgasmic dysfunction using an energy based device, specifically temperature controlled radiofrequency, instead of hormonal and pharmacologic approaches,” said Dr. Alinsod. “Temperature-controlled radiofrequency appears to be an extremely safe and effective treatment for select patients (secondary anorgasmia or slow to orgasm) due to its visible tightening effects on feminine tissues, increased vaginal tightness, increase in local blood flow, improved vaginal moisture, and increased genital sensitivity. Improved appearance and increased friction resulted in improved confidence and reduced performance anxiety.”
