EIZO Corporation has announced that it has completed construction on a $25 million (3 billion Japanese yen) factory at its headquarters in Hakusan, Japan for manufacturing medical and industrial monitors. The new factory is EIZO’s second at its headquarters and fourth in Japan. The company also has manufacturing facilities in Germany, China, and the United States.
The five-story, 15,000 square-meter (161,000 square-foot) factory increases EIZO’s production capacity in Japan by 30% and allows it to expand its business by meeting an increasing worldwide demand for its medical and industrial monitors. Operation begins in June 2016.
To maximize the production efficiency, the new factory is connected to an adjacent factory by corridors on three floors.
180 kW solar panels placed on the roof and 250 kW solar panels at ground level nearby will generate solar power.
