Encompass introduces two new additions to their extensive line of healthcare blankets. First, the UltraLinks Plus blanket is now offered in a larger size and two new colors. And, the new Khaki Stripe Bath Blanket updates a healthcare classic to better blend with today’s interiors.
The Aspen Green and the Tan UltraLinks Plus blankets are plus-sized at 74” x 102” to accommodate the more common use of 42”-wide mattresses now used in most healthcare facilities. Since Bone-colored sheeting is used to identify these wider mattresses, the new Aspen Green and Tan colors were created to coordinate well with Bone.
The soft, 100 percent synthetic fabric provides lasting patient comfort and warmth and incorporates new color retention properties that ensure long-lasting, vibrant colors. The quick drying fabric offers energy savings, while the tight weave minimizes the risk of snagging and tearing.
The synthetic fabric also has stain-resistant properties to help reduce costly re-laundering. And the reversible blanket design allows healthcare staff to spend less time fussing while making beds. UltraLinks Plus joins the renowned UltraLinks Patient Care Spread Blankets that have been offering superior performance in a 100 percent synthetic blanket since their introduction earlier this year.
The new Khaki Stripe Bath Blanket sports a new, modern, neutral color for easy coordination with today’s healthcare color palette of neutrals and earth tones, replacing the classic dark-blue striped bath blanket that had become a staple in many healthcare facilities. It adds a touch of warmth to the patient environment, improving overall comfort with a more home-like look. The 70”x90” blanket has a nice heavyweight feel. Its blended construction combines the durability of polyester and the breathability of cotton, with a soft, napped hand.
“With our new plus-size blankets and updated bath blankets, our bed and bath line continues to grow to give patients and residents products that look and feel great,” says Tom Langdon, Encompass General Manager, Bed and Bath. “Not only will these new products please the users, but facilities will love how they wash, and how they’ll maintain their appeal over time. Our bed and bath line meets every need in the textile industry today: aesthetic appeal, durability, longevity, and cost effectiveness.”
