Hitachi Medical wins 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its scalable Scenaria Advanced 128 CT scanner
Hitachi (NYSE:HIT) said it won 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its Scenaria Advanced 128 CT scanner, the latest in its line of scalable CT scanners.
Hitachi Medical Systems America said the latest iteration of the Scenaria Advanced includes new low-dose technology designed to reduce patients’ exposure to X-ray radiation.
“Scenaria is another example of Hitachi’s ability to provide superior product value by combining the latest dose-saving and imaging technologies with a premium feature set that includes a standard 2-meter scannable range table with greater than 500 lb. weight capacity and unique lateral shift capability (16cm range) to center the patient’s anatomy of interest nearest to the scan iso-center,” Mark Silverman, director of CT marketing, said in prepared remarks.
