Fitness Tracker Doubles as a Heart Rate Monitor

January 4, 2017 By Lexie Metzler

A new fitness tracker by Onitor really pops!

The Onitor Track detaches from its band to double as both a fitness tracker and an ECG heart rate monitor.

Once the tracker is detached from the wristband, a clip attaches it to a sports bra. The clip also features a built-in lithium polymer rechargeable battery, allowing the Onitor Track to charge while being used.

The heart rate clip is charged with a charging cable.

Enclosed inside the ceramic metal casing is a circuit board, the electronics housing, and battery for the device. The sensors include one lead ECG heart rate sensor and a 3-axis accelerometer.

“The Track digests combined data recorded from both modes along with weekly weight inputs from the user to provide an exercise program and nutritional advice that are constantly adapting to the user’s progress, giving unparalleled insights and ensuring the user meets their weight loss target,” according to Onitor.

The tracker connects to the Onitor Track app via 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi, which provides guidance for weight loss and nutrition. The ECG mode in the tracker helps find the cardiac activity zone where fat is burned.

It also provides information on the user’s sleep cycle, number of calories burned, how long the user was active, number of steps taken, and distance traveled that day.
