Pharmaceuticals, LLC announced today that it has added Lester
Crawford, D.V.M., and Ph.D. to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Crawford has had a distinguished career in the public and
private sectors as well as academia. Over ten years of his career
were spent at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) serving in a
variety of pivotal roles and culminating in his appointment as FDA
Commissioner.
Prior to FDA, Dr. Crawford served in many capacities at the
University of Georgia, including chair of the Department of
Physiology and Pharmacology and at Georgetown University where he
was director of the Center for Food and Nutrition Policy. Dr.
Crawford has been an expert advisor to the World Health
Organization, the Singapore FDA and the U. S. Academy of Sciences.
He is currently a Partner and Senior Science Advisor at Policy
Directions, Inc.
