Sherry Gray, VP and GM at Freudenberg Medical’s silicone business unit in Beverly, Mass., has announced her retirement after 28 years with the company.
Gray began with Freudenberg in 1993 as regional HR/HSE manager with Freudenberg-NOK in Bristol, N.H. She progressed through various positions at Freudenberg, leading major organizations in New Hampshire, Georgia, Illinois, and Mexico, where she was often the first female in general management and manufacturing leadership roles.
Gray joined Freudenberg Medical in 2019 as VP and GM of the Gloucester silicone business unit and managed the process of relocating the Gloucester manufacturing operation to Freudenberg Medical’s newly constructed headquarters, an FDA-registered medical device manufacturing site in Beverly.
Gray is handing over leadership of the Beverly operation to Ana Quesada, who has held several positions with progressive responsibility inside and outside of Freudenberg. After completing her bachelor’s in industrial engineering, she started her career in the consumer goods industry before joining Freudenberg Medical Costa Rica in 2012 as a quality engineer. In 2018 she moved to the U.S. to join Freudenberg Medical Gloucester as quality manager and in 2019 took responsibility for managing operations and supply chain. Quesada began her new role as VP and GM for Freudenberg Medical Beverly on June 1.
“Freudenberg Medical is proud to have talents like Sherry and Ana on our team. Sherry Gray has been a true pioneer for women in manufacturing industries and she has paved the way for many female talents, who are following in her footsteps,” said Freudenberg Medical CEO Max Kley in a news release. “With Ana Quesada, we found the perfect successor for the Beverly leadership position. Freudenberg Medical is committed to investing in people and we offer outstanding career opportunities for all of our employees.”
