Cincinnati-based Clippard said today it expects to hire more staff to meet the growing demand for its components and subassemblies for ventilators, diagnostic equipment and other critical care devices to help fight the coronavirus.
The company manufactures valves, electronic pressure controls, custom assemblies, cylinders, air-preparation equipment and fittings for hose and tubing.
Because half of the dozen ventilator manufacturers Clippard is working with now are existing customers and the other half is new to the game, the company is ramping up production and employment.
“Right now, we’ve got about 50 people lined up to hire in the next two weeks and that may be as high as 75,” said chief marketing officer Robert S. Clippard. “This is strictly on the manufacturing side, assembling.”
