Healthcare hackers have become a real threat to facilities across the nation, but a recent attack on a California hospital has caught attention. The hackers held the computers for ransom. Here’s more, courtesy of CBS News:
Using malware to gain access is hardly a unique approach to hacking, but it is one many facilities are not prepared to fight. Experts told Surgical Products back in September many hospital devices – computers to imaging devices – are susceptible to these implanted programs, and there is not one cure all method, because the hackers are evolving to overcome obstacles.
