Rehabilitation and mobility
Robotics firm Bionik Laboratories provides rehabilitation and mobility products to patients with neurological disorders. It’s technology platform InMotion is a modular, “gym-of-robots” used in upper extremity rehab systems. The company recently began clinical research on InMotion AnkleBot, using technology based on a design developed at the Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation at MIT. Bionik expects to file for FDA clearance in the third quarter of 2017 and introduce AnkleBot to the market in the first quarter of 2018.
