STORMONT, BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ — HeartSine Technologies, Inc.
was honored with the Belfast Ambassador Award at the sixth annual
Belfast Business Top 50 event in Stormont, Belfast. The award was
presented to the company by the Belfast Media Group for
pioneering business in developing areas of Belfast, Ireland.
HeartSine CEO Greg Cash, who accepted the award at the Long
Gallery in Stormont on behalf of HeartSine, said, “We are honored
to be singled out for the Belfast Ambassador Award. HeartSine
has a rich history of innovation and public awareness, especially
in the area of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). We are proud of the
work we’ve done in Northern Ireland, and all around the world.”
Cash took the opportunity to share information about SCA and
encouraged the attendees to consider starting a Public Access
Defibrillator program in their respective organizations. SCA does
not discriminate. It can happen anywhere, to anyone, at any time
and accounts for an estimated 425,000 deaths in the United States
each year, more than the total death rate for breast cancer, lung
cancer, and HIV/AIDS combined. The annual mortality rate from SCA
throughout Europe and North America exceeds one million. When a
defibrillator is used within the first three to five minutes after
the onset of SCA, the victim’s chance of survival improves 40 to 75
percent.
The 50 companies recognized at the ceremony represented a
diverse range of business leaders and entrepreneurs from the
Belfast area. Each has worked tirelessly in their individual fields
to progress and develop their businesses, despite the economic
challenges.
HeartSine’s European headquarters is located at 203 Airport Road
