HOYA Group PENTAX Medical has launched HemoStat WideCup, the new bipolar hot hemostasis forceps to achieve easy control of bleeding during endoscopic therapy procedures. The new device will be demonstrated at the JDDW 2016 Congress to be held in Kobe, Japan from November 3 to 6, 2016.
Flexible endoscopes are used in minimally invasive treatment procedures in combination with therapeutic devices. Such procedures are gaining worldwide interest and adoption for substantial clinical and financial benefits contributing to early recovery, reduced procedural complexities and costs.
“PENTAX Medical is commited to strengthening our endoscopic therapy portfolio to support better patient care. The HemoStat WideCup is a highly innovative hemostasis device designed to greatly simplify the control of bleeding,” said Gerald W. Bottero, Global President of PENTAX Medical.
“We are confident the HemoStat WideCup sets a new standard for precise, efficient and safer endoscopic therapy and will further support global growth of early screening and treatment of gastric cancer,” said Bottero. “We are commited to propagate and further develop this procedure.”
HemoStat WideCup’s benefit and features include:
- Wide cup – for easy grasp of bleeding point (Opening width – existing version: 4.0 mm, HemoStat WideCup: 5.8 mm); and
- Less handling power – for easy operation (30 to 40% reduction of handling power than existing version).
