The plastic surgery industry has had a busy last couple of years, with Joan Rivers death in the OR and the following controversy, a new interest in buttock augmentations and an overall 2 percent increase in the number of plastic surgery procedures. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons report breast augmentations and liposuction are still the leaders in the United States’ market, and that the United States still leads the world in the number of procedures performed – 4.1 million.
