The course is designed to give an introduction and foundation to biomedical testing. It is an hour long course geared toward lab managers and test machine operators who work in the biomedical industry as well as test method developers who need a terminology refresher course.
Instron’s new eLearning course can be taken through a series of videos to allow users to learn at their own pace. It covers a number of applications, including implantable devices, orthopedics, surgical products and more. The online training program will detail information for test specimens, testing types, test standards, test results and regulatory considerations in biomedical testing.
Those who are enrolled in the training program will receive a training certificate upon completion.
“In order to ensure the efficacy and safety of their products, companies in the biomedical industry need to establish testing methods for and provide testing data from both present and future products,” Jim Ritchey, service sales and marketing manager at Instron, said. “For over 70 years, Instron has been working with these companies on products such as this to make sure they can do exactly that.”
Instron introduced eLearning courses in 2017 starting with “Basic Introduction to Materials Testing.”
