InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Texas, has designed a harness that keeps a wheelchair-bound individual safe and secure while riding in a wheelchair. This invention is patented.
The “I Gotcha” could prevent an individual from sliding off of or tipping over in a wheelchair. It ensures that a person would maintain good posture, and was designed to enhance personal safety. Offering peace of mind for both the individual in the wheelchair and the caregiver, the invention also could offer security, affordability and accessibility.
The harness system would include two padded shoulder straps and a padded waist strap. Elastic areas on the straps would allow them to be adjusted based on the individual’s height and weight. The nylon waist belt would be fastened around the user’s midsection, and elastic sections on each side of the shoulder straps ensure comfort and mobility. Producible in different sizes, colors and textures, the I Gotcha could also feature large or extra-large load straps.
