Keystone Technologies has created an interactive tool to help senior living communities assess their fall prevention procedures and processes.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, falls are leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries among older adults. Besides the obvious human toll, falls are also costly for senior living communities.
Developed in collaboration with HealthCore Value Advisors and Foresite Healthcare, Keystone Technologies’ new appraisal tool consists of questions about:
- Culture of safety
- Definition of falls; processes and procedures
- Fall prevention program team
- Care process
- Environmental and equipment safety
- Continuous quality improvement initiatives
After completion of a survey, the tool will provide actionable recommendations and resources to help senior communities minimize falls.
