Lima (Udine, Italy) has launched its SMR TT Hybrid Glenoid, its latest addition to the SMR Shoulder System, in the U.S. and New Zealand following a limited release phase.
The SMR Shoulder System is a total should replacement that is designed to give surgeons different options to address the different patient pathologies. The SMR TT Hybrid Glenoid is a glenoid component that has hybrid fixation convertible from anatomic to reverse. When used with the SMR Should System, the new system is designed to give a solution for glenoid replacement to allow for proper soft tissues management because of its range of sizes, mismatch options and fixation.
“We are very excited about the introduction of this innovative device on the market, which allows LimaCorporate to further complete the shoulder portfolio, keeping its outstanding clinical heritage and approaching a new fixation philosophy,” Luigi Ferrari, CEO of Lima, said in a press release.
The system also recently received CE Mark approval in Europe and will be launched in February next year.
