MagneMotion Partners with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics

November 20, 2013 By Business Wire

MagneMotion Inc., a leading provider of products and transport systems based on Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) technology today announced a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, a global leader in clinical diagnostics, whereby Siemens has acquired an exclusive license for the use of MagneMotion’s advanced LSM products and technologies in the field of in-vitro diagnostics (IVD). This right will extend to MagneMotion’s current products as well as market requirements for future LSM products and customer applications within the IVD industry. MagneMotion will continue to service its existing IVD customers and, on a selective basis, work with Siemens on near-term market opportunities.

Todd Webber, MagneMotion President and CEO, states “we are delighted to form a strategic relationship with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. MagneMotion and Siemens have had a very positive history and this newest development is a culmination of strong interest by both parties to form an even closer working relationship. As a market leader with global reach, Siemens is well positioned to advance MagneMotion’s LSM technology in the IVD field, and we look forward to future cooperation.” “We are continuously expanding our ability to bring leading-edge technology to the clinical laboratory, and a core element of this is to establish strategic partnerships with key innovators, including those outside the traditional IVD industry like MagneMotion” said Dave Hickey, CEO, Chemistry, Immunoassay, Automation and Diagnostics IT Business Unit, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. “By combining the break-through innovations of MagneMotion with our position as a leading clinical diagnostics company, together, we can help transform the future of patient care.”
