Mack Molding, a custom plastics molder and supplier of contract manufacturing services, announced Marc Colety, a 20 year veteran of the company, has been promoted to vice president of procurement.
“Whether his focus was on molding, manufacturing, plant operations or most recently procurement, Marc’s impact has been significant throughout his tenure,” said Jeff Somple, president at Mack Molding. “Since taking the procurement helm in 2010, he has boosted the department’s value, adding staff to meet growth demands, conducting contract negotiations and leveraging the synergies of our northern and southern operations to the benefit of the entire company. Marc has continually proven to be a solid contributor to Mack’s success, and this promotion is a testament to not only Marc’s talents, but the growing importance of his team to our growth strategy. I look forward to continuing to benefit from his leadership.”
Prior to serving in his most recent role as director of procurement, Colety was plant manager for the company’s Cavendish, Vt., facility. Before joining Mack, he developed his leadership skills with Textron and Davidson Rubber Company. In all, Colety has more than 35 years of experience in operations, engineering, materials, purchasing and supply chain management in automotive, business equipment, furniture, industrial, commercial and medical markets. Beyond his degree in business administration, Colety has trained in numerous quality, lean, management and statistical techniques.
